Anxiety Management

  • Do you avoid situations because of a sense of impending danger, panic or doom?

  • Do you have trouble concentrating or thinking about anything other than the present worry?

  • Do you fear being judged or criticized by others?

  • Is your sleep interrupted with worrisome thoughts?

  • Are you worried about making mistakes or being embarrassed in front of others?

Often, these are the symptoms of anxiety:

  • Difficulty falling asleep because you are worried about what occurred during the day

  • Nervousness, restlessness or being tense

  • Feelings of danger, panic or dread

  • Rapid breathing or hyperventilation

  • Increased or heavy sweating

  • Trembling or muscle twitching

  • Weakness or lethargy

  • Difficulty focusing or thinking clearly about anything other than the thing you’re worried about

  • Insomnia

If any of this sounds familiar,  you might have anxiety. Anxiety is like a mean trick that your brain plays on you when it tells you that all kinds of awful things might happen. It tells you that you will be embarrassed, ashamed, or maybe even hurt. Anxiety tells you that everything is horrible and nothing will ever be good again. Life with anxiety is not easy, but it can get easier. Let's take control of your life and gain control of those anxious thoughts!

Anxiety therapy focuses on ways that you can spend your energy on the things in your life that you do have control over, not all of those things that might happen or those things that other people might be thinking. Using reframing techniques and thought stopping among other therapy techniques, we can work together to improve your quality of life. Therapy can help to uncover the underlying causes of your worries and fears and look at situations in a new, less frighting way. If you are ready to take back your life and get a good night’s sleep for once, contact us and let’s get to work on getting your control back!
